BC Cancer
World-class cancer research that transforms the lives of patients in BC. Research at BC Cancer is conducted by many nationally and internationally recognized scientists in over sixty labs at the BC Cancer Research Institute and BC Cancer sites across the province.
The BC Cancer Research Institute is organized through departments and programs with various themes. These comprise activities that explore basic mechanisms and technology development relevant to all areas of cancer research, cancer control research, clinical studies and clinical trials, and population health and service research. The research portfolio also supports internationally recognized facilities and platforms in genomics, bioinformatics, imaging, drug development and tissue banking.

CanPATH
The BC Generations Project (BCGP) is part of a national partnership called the Canadian Partnership for Tomorrow’s Health (CanPath, previously known as the Canadian Partnership for Tomorrow Project), which has a collective enrollment of more than 300,000 Canadians.
In additional to be BCGP, is made of seven regional cohort health studies across Canada: Alberta’s Tomorrow Project, Healthy Future Sask, Manitoba Tomorrow Project, Ontario Health Study, CARTaGENE, and Atlantic PATH. Together, CanPath partners have created the largest health research platform in Canada for scientists to conduct innovative population-level health research both in Canada and internationally. CanPath is hosted by the University of Toronto’s Dalla Lana School of Public Health with national funding from the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer.
